and Israel in a Grand 11 day Tour
Day 1 Tue,
Athens.
Arrive at Athens Airport, where our representative will meet you,
and assist with the transfer to your hotel ( this tour is based on
first class 4 star accommodation).
Day 2 Wed, Athens (B)
A morning sightseeing tour takes us to all the high points : The Temple
of Olympian Zeus, Hadrian's Arch, Syntagma Square, The Parliament& The
world famous Acropolis. Afternoon at leisure. Why not have lunch at
a taverna in the Plaka, take in a museum or gallery , then do some cafe-sitting
and people -watching in Syntagma Square.
Day 3 Thu, Full Day Cruises
(B,L)
No trip to Greece is complete without a cruise to the Greek islands
! Today we cruise to the Saronic islands of Aegina, Hydra and Poros,
and have a buffet lunch by the sea.
Day 4 Fri , Delphi (B,L)
We drive through Rion, Antirion and Nafpakatos and along the Corinthian
coast on our way to Delphi, site of the famed oracle, at the foot of
Mount Parnassus. Delphi was simply the center of the Greek ancient world.
Visit the Treasury of the Athenians, the Temple of Apollo, the Castalia
Spring and the Museum.
Day 5, Sat , Meteora (B,D)
Morning at leisure. Early afternoon departure from Delphi, heading north,
we drive through Central Greece. to Kalambaka / Meteora Region. Overnight
Day 6 Sun, Athens (B)
Visit the monasteries of Meteora, majority of which were built almost
600 years ago. Drive back to Athens. Early evening arrival.
Day 10 Thu , Jerusalem (B)
We start our exploration of Jerusalem, holy city to Christians, Jews
and Muslims, with a drive to the Mount of Olives, which offers panoramic
views. Proceed to the Western Wall an d the Dome of the Rock. We follow
in Jesus' footsteps along Via Dolorosa to the Church of the Holy Sepulcher.
Visit the Cardo, King David's Tomb. Then drive to Bethlehem to visit
the Church of Nativity and Rachel's Tomb. Early evening return to Jerusalem
Day 11, Fri Departure (B)
After breakfast , transfer to Tel Aviv Airport. Bon Voyage!
