DAY 1 - CAIRO Monday
Tour starts weekly in Cairo on Mondays. Our staff greets you at Cairo's airport
and escorts you to your hotel.
Visa fee is included & issued upon arrival, American or Japanese passports
must be valid for at least 6 month beyond the date of arrival.
DAY 2 - CAIRO Tuesday (BL)
We visit the Egyptian Museum, Citadel of Saladin and Alabaster Mosque. In the afternoon we fulfill your dream of seeing the Pyramids at Giza and the Great Sphinx.
DAY 3 - ASWAN & ABU SIMBEL Wednesday (BLD)
An early morning flight takes us up the Nile to Abu Simbel, visit the mighty Temples of Ramses the Great & Queen Nefertari, fly back to Aswan, where we settle in on our Nile cruiser.
You may cruise the Nile in the comfort of your own Private Vessel, at no additional charge, minimum 4 guests required
After lunch we tour the mighty Aswan dams, old and new, then board a motor launch to visit the Temples of Philae, moved to an island and saved from the rising waters of Lake Nasser.
DAY 4 - KOM OMBO Thursday (BLD)
Our Nile vessel cruises serenely down the Nile for a visit to the great twin-temple
at Kom Ombo, dedicated to Sobek, the crocodile river god, and Haroeris, the
solar disk.
You may cruise the Nile in the comfort of your own Private
Vessel, at no additional charge, minimum 4 guests required
DAY 5 - EDFU & LUXOR Friday (BLD)
We board horse-drawn carriages (or motor vans) for the short ride through Edfu to the Temple of Horus, the best-preserved in Egypt. Then we drive beside the Nile to the Valley of the Kings, the magnificent tomb-temple of Queen Hatshepsut in the Valley of the Queens, and the Colossi of Memnon. Returning to Luxor, we tour the gigantic Great Temple of Amon at Karnak.
DAY 6 - SHARM EL SHEIK Saturday (B)
We fly over the Sinai peninsula to Sharm El Sheik, and head for the beach!
DAY 7 - SHARM EL SHEIK Sunday (B)
Relax! This is your day to absorb all that you've seen and experienced so far, not to mention the bright Egyptian sun and sparkling sea.
DAY 8 - MOUNT SINAI Monday (BL)
In the cool before sunrise, we drive into the wilderness of Sinai, through which Moses led his people to the Promised Land. Our goal is the Monastery of St. Catherine, built on the site of the "burning bush" at the base of Mount Sinai. We tour the monastery, rich in history, icons and sacred paintings, returning to Sharm late in the evening.
DAY 9 - TABA / EILAT Tuesday (B)
We escort your to Taba/Eilat border crossing point.Our local rep on the Israeli side, will escort you to Jerusalem by air or car depending on the time of arrival in Eilat. Overnight in Jerusalem.
DAY 10 - JERUSALEM Wednesday (B)
We spend a full morning in the Old City, starting with a walk through the reconstructed Jewish Quarter. Next we look at the newly excavated Cardo, a Roman promenade, then proceed to the sacred Western Wall, all that remains of the Second Temple. We'll also be able to see the Dome of the Rock, one of Islam's holiest sites. Next, we'll follow the Via Dolorosa, where Jesus once walked, to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre, passing bazaars full of exotic wares. Our visit continues with an afternoon departure for Bethlehem, birthplace of King David and Jesus. We'll visit the Church of the Nativity, and stop at Rachel's Tomb before returning to Jerusalem.
DAY 11 - DEPARTURE Thursday (B)
Our staff escorts you to the airport for your flight home.
